Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management Deliver Ramadan Palliatives On Behalf of HE The Executive Governor.



As the Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management in Bauchi State, it is with great joy that I announce the launch of our 2024 Ramadan Palliatives distribution by His Excellency, Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed.

This massive intervention aims to alleviate the suffering of our people, especially during this holy month of Ramadan. A staggering 110,000 bags containing essential food items like rice, millet, corn and sugar will be distributed across all 20 local government areas of the state.

At the flag-off ceremony held at the Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium in Bauchi, the Governor charged the distribution committee, local government caretaker chairmen and all stakeholders to ensure equitable distribution devoid of any political biases. His directive is clear - these palliatives must reach every deserving household irrespective of affiliations.
The Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu, the Jarman Bauchi, Alhaji Garba Mohammed Noma, the PDP Chairman Hamza Koshe Akuyam and other dignitaries commended the Governor's gesture, praying for Allah's abundant reward upon him.

As the Chairman of the 2024 Ramadan Palliatives Distribution Committee, the Chief of Staff Dr. Aminu Hassan Gamawa assured that robust plans have been mapped out to facilitate smooth and fair distribution to the targeted beneficiaries across the state.

My ministry, in collaboration with committee members and stakeholders, is committed to ensuring that no stone is left unturned in delivering these palliatives to every nook and cranny of Bauchi State. It is our collective responsibility to see that this noble intervention translates to sustainable growth and development for all our people.
Together, we shall insha'Allah execute this exercise diligently and transparently for the betterment of the good people of Bauchi State.
